Heroes Volume 2 by Topps is an excellent non-sports trading card set for any collector even if they're not a fan of NBC's show "Heroes". With the great base set in conjunction with the mix of costume cards, autograph cards and the 1 of 1 (1/1) sketch cards, this non sports trading card set is really hard to beat. One of the greatest things to come along in the non-sports card industry in years (in our humble opinion) is the sketch card. There's nothing better than being able to pull a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork out of a $1.99 pack of cards!
Heroes Volume 2 is one of the first few non-sports card products from Topps that we've been able to review and we've been very happy with what we've seen so far. Obviously Topps has been in the sports card and non-sports card industry as long as anybody, so it's really nice to see that they're still consistently putting out great products every release. As usual, we were able to complete one base set from this product, several inserts, an autographed card, a 1/1 sketch card and dozens of extra base as well. There were 8 of the 10 foil insert cards in this review box, which is a pretty good percentage of the total subset. The autograph in this box was from Christine Rose as Angela Petrelli. It's always exciting to be able to pull an autograph of one of the show's regularly featured characters and that was certainly the case with this autograph. The 1 of 1 sketch card that was in the TradingCardReviews box was of Ando Masahashi and created by the artist Nathan Albrecht. As previously stated, pulling a sketch card is one of the great thrills of opening non-sports card products these days, so needless to say this box was a ton of fun to tear through.
TradingCardReviews was able to beat the odds in our review box of Heroes Volume 2 cards from Topps. There was an autographed card as well as a sketch card, which is one more hit than the average box (not that we're complaining!), but even without the extra hit, we still think that this is one of the best non-sports products out on the market. The smash hit TV series from NBC translates wonderfully into a trading card set from Topps. You should be sure to go out and pick up a couple packs, or even a box, from your local hobby or comic shop!
