Final Comments:
Lost Season Two by Inkworks is a wonderful combination of a great show and an excellent trading card set. The second season was one of the best yet and it's captured in this beautifully designed set from Inkworks. There are Autographs, Costume Cards, Dual Memorabilia Cards & plenty of inserts to make even the pickiest collector more than happy with a box of these Lost cards.
As with most of Inkworks' boxes of cards, they more than met their guarantee of at least one complete base set of cards in each box. In this box of Lost Season Two, there were two complete sets, plus another few dozen extra base cards. The Pieceworks authentic show worn costume card is from a pair of pants worn by Terry O'Quinn as John Locke. It's always great to get a show worn item from one of the show's main characters, especially from a huge hit show like Lost. Sonya Walger as Penelope "Penny" Widmore is the authentic autograph card from this review box. Inkworks always has great autographed cards since they're all on-card autos (no sticker autos here!). The big hit of this box was actually a redemption card (which Inkworks doesn't do too often) for a Pieceworks card that has authentic show used sand as well as a piece of a shirt that was worn by Josh Holloway as James "Sawyer" Ford in an episode in season two of Lost. Since this set was first released in 2006, the redemption date has passed. Fortunately, Inkworks often is able to fill redemptions well after their expiration date, so we will still attempt to get our hands on one of these extremely unique cards.
Even though the box was guaranteed to have one autograph and one Pieceworks show worn card, the Trading Card Reviews box beat the odds by pulling the redemption card! The auto and costume card were both great pulls that featured a couple of the main characters. The inserts are right on par with the other Inkworks sets in their creativity and story telling ability. It's hard to believe that a trading card set could do justice to a hit TV show like Lost, but Inkworks has done another great job with this non-sports card set!
*The Sawyer Shirt & Sand card is in the process of being redeemed and will look something like this when it arrives:
