The Golden Compass Non-Sports Trading Cards

Inkworks' The Golden Compass Non-Sports Card Review Box

This exciting fantasy adventure is set in a parallel world where people’s souls manifest themselves as small animals, talking bears fight wars, and children are mysteriously disappearing. The film is based on the first book of Philip Pullman’s best-selling, award-winning trilogy, “His Dark Materials.”

Inkworks captures all of the action and amazing worlds with a 72-base card set.  In addition, collectors can look for several different levels of randomly-inserted bonus cards.

Final Comments:

TCR completed two of the 72 card base sets from one box of Inkworks' The Golden Compass. There were two of the holofoil FIGHT TO THE DEATH Golden Compass cards (FD4 & FD5). This non-sports review box from Inkworks also yielded half of the entire TRUTH TELLING six card insert set (TT1, TT2, TT6). These 3-D lenticular cards feature the alethiometer (the Golden Compass) on the front. There were also 3 cards from the LYRA’S WORLD insert set, which is another amazing insert set. These inserts are also done using the lenticular 3-D technology which makes these awesome looking cards jus jump right off the stock. The DAEMON FORMS with flip technology are yet again another great innovation from the folks at Inkworks. These are some of the more beautiful cards that are on the non-sports card market today. It's hard to capture the beauty in a scan because of the 3-D technology, but hopfully you'll be able to see for yourself when you go out and pick up a box or two of this great set. The hit from the Trading Card Reviews' box is the PIECEWORK CARD (PW9 - Lyra’s Best Dress) with a multi-colored swatch of fabric. It's really a great non-sports card costume card that anybody would be happy to bust open in their own box. Another super effort from Inkworks in this Golden Compass non-sports card set!!

This set is a fun and interesting one to open a box of. The guaranteed costume card was great and the other inserts that appear throughout the box look wonderful (especially the ones using the 3-D lenticular cards). It's always nice when there are so many inserts that you get to pull to keep it interesting throughout the whole break. It makes the packs fun and exciting to open even if you've already opened the packs with the costume card.

Thanks again for checking out another great non-sports card review from Trading Card Reviews!!
